Church St entrance widening

Work on widening Church Street was nearing completion when this photo was taken in 1963, looking over the crossroads from West Street . The Red Lion hotel, which stood on the corner of the crossroads, had disappeared, with the Westminster Bank still enveloped by scaffolding.
